Teachers continuously improve their professional practice, model lifelong learning, and exhibit leadership in their school and professional community by promoting and demonstrating the effective use of digital tools and resources

Reflection
Instructors must make sure to keep their teaching credentials current. By taking graduate level course work at an accredited university, attending workshops or seminars, they can use these opportunities to improve their teaching skills, and learn about new, exciting technological resources to be used in the classroom. Working with teachers through this course, they are take charge, and get it done people, which exhibits the leadership skills they have acquired over a period of time. One of the best ways to get the information teachers learn is through a course site. Creating sites that can be shared among coworkers or other teachers around the world. Presentations are another one of the tools teachers can use to distribute information in video style or Powerpoint presentations. Another one of the best tools I discovered in this course is Padlet. This is an electronic style bulletin board. Teachers can add images, video's, links, and files to their board. Administrators, teachers, parents or students can be allowed to post messages or additional materials to the board as well.

My future goals
Once I obtain a teaching job, I plan to work hard to make sure I keep my professional development up-to-date, and attend as many workshops as possible that are available to me. Living in an area such as Hattiesburg, I should have several different type of training sessions available through the University of Southern Mississippi. Recently I came across a web site, teachers.egfi-k12.org, that lists web resources, lesson plans, outreach programs, class programs and K-12 news. It does not seem to require any type of registration to use the site. The site is packed with useful information for teachers, and I plan to use it often.
